Ultimately Revolutionizing the World of Small Arms
By combining AI with optics and advanced algorithms, SMARTSHOOTER develops innovative fire control systems that dramatically improve the probability of hit. The IDF was the first to use these systems, paving the way to armed forces around the world

SMARTSHOOTER innovates the fire control systems market by bringing shot precision into the world of infantry. Using advanced, innovative, and groundbreaking technology, the company develops cutting-edge fire control systems that attach to any weapon and dramatically improve the probability of hit in all shooting scenarios. The SMASH technology developed by the company provides accurate hit capabilities against ground, maritime and aerial targets, including drones. It provides soldiers with the shooting capabilities of an expert while keeping themselves safe and avoiding collateral damage.
SMARTSHOOTER currently markets two main product lines: the first includes weapon-mounted systems, and the second includes remotely controlled weapon stations. Both are small and lightweight.
“These two product lines collectively form a family of tactical solutions designed to enhance maneuverability, safeguard forces, and secure borders and strategic infrastructures, with specific adjustments to customer needs,” says Michal Mor, the company’s CEO and one of its founders. “We took groundbreaking and transformative technology and integrated it into two product lines, each comprising several individual products capable of standalone operation as well as seamless communication within their own network and with external systems. Users have the flexibility to swiftly deploy and operate these systems even in challenging combat scenarios, which inherently pose considerable challenges.”
“Another significant advantage,” adds Shir Ahuvia, SMARTSHOOTER’s VP of Product “is the multi-mission capability inherent in each product. The SMASH system seamlessly adapts to engage ground targets, drones, and targets at sea. It exhibits compatibility with various weaponry and ammunition variants, reshaping operational strategies and combat expenditures. The outcome entails the potential diminishment of ammunition costs, training expenses, reserve service commitments, and usage of shooting ranges. By making a relatively modest investment, a remarkable enhancement in performance can be realized."
Mor: “An additional benefit is the system’s adaptability through software updates. In the event that a new target, previously unrecognized, becomes relevant, or if a customer intends to employ the system in a different scenario, we possess the capability to modify the software accordingly. An illustrative instance is our extension of the system's functionality to encompass maritime operations. Initially designed for ground targets and drones, we achieved this expansion through software updates. Software updates also make it possible to use less lethal weapons and ammunition.”
Minimal firepower, maximum precision
Naturally, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) became SMARTSHOOTER’s first customer, presently incorporating the company's products into their regular operations. In time, other military entities joined SMARTSHOOTER’s list of customers, aligning with the company's aspiration to foster enduring collaborations through long-term master agreements. “As a small yet innovative enterprise, we leverage our substantial agreements to realize our objectives, exemplified by our recent engagement in the United Kingdom,” Mor elaborates. “Our objective is to establish robust, long-term master agreements wherein customers commit to procuring an array of products, enabling them to select and integrate relevant applications. For instance, they can purchase anti-drone capabilities in both handheld products and remotely controlled systems, deploying them in ground maneuvers or border security and critical infrastructure initiatives. This operational method provides customers with flexibility and empowers our company to streamline processes, yielding improved pricing and delivery timelines.”
Ahuvia: “The IDF always takes precedence as our first customer, extensively leveraging our systems. We know how to provide it with tailored solutions that align with user-specific requirements. For the IDF, the paramount objective is deploying minimal force with maximal precision – a cornerstone value for our company and a prominent feature of our systems. There’s a special kind of magic in working with a smart military organization like the IDF, where using advanced means is second nature. Our relationship with the IDF, as with other customers, holds profound significance. We remain committed to providing high-quality products, ensuring unparalleled service and responsiveness, while keeping attentive to the customer’s voice. Of course, when it comes to defense export, we work closely with the Israeli Defense Export Controls Agency. This entity oversees the endorsement, demonstration, and international export of our systems. The company actively participates in foreign tenders and often secures victories over well-known contenders.”
What countries are among your most prominent customers?
Mor: “The United States, India, Germany, the Netherlands, Great Britain and other NATO member countries, along with undisclosed countries. Our systems are actively deployed by military personnel within these nations. We are witnessing the evolution of extended, structured transactions, surpassing individual device acquisitions aimed solely at performance evaluation. This trend signifies growing customer understanding of our technology and underscores our maturing as a company and our advancement beyond small production runs. Today we are priming our production lines to cater our product lines to a diverse array of customers.”
Operational strength multiplier
According to Mor, transitioning into serial production and export, while maintaining widespread operational integration, presents a significant challenge. “Our products have attained a level of maturity that has propelled into regular manufacturing and expanded export,” she emphasizes. “A recent milestone involves the recently signed deal with the British Army, encompassing the acquisition of hundreds of SMASH systems. Britain’s decision to engage in a master agreement underscores their recognition of our system’s unique value, especially in countering drones and small UAS. Our customers appreciate the cost-effectiveness inherent in this solution. While the investment is not as substantial as that required for platforms such as airplanes, it yields a marked enhancement in field performance. Compact, lightweight, and mobile, the SMAH systems excel in versatility across multiple mission types, rendering them adaptable and easy to install. In essence, they are small systems that bring big changes.”
