THE ISRAELI COMPANY HARNESSING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TO EMPOWER DOCTORS

The Israeli company K2Ai is revolutionizing healthcare with a suite of AI-powered solutions for a wide range of medical conditions. Founded by two entrepreneurs who combine deep expertise in medicine and technology, the company envisions a system that turns every physician into a 'Super-Doctor,' enabling faster, more accurate and better preventive care for patients

In an era in which algorithms aid in diagnosis, analysis and disease detection yet still struggle to fully integrate into clinical workflows, two Israeli entrepreneurs have found the intersection between technology and medicine. Experts in both technology and medicine, their company, K2Ai, has transformed artificial intelligence into a core tool that advances preventive medicine, reduces medical errors, helps medical teams make better decisions, and drives real change in how healthcare systems diagnose, treat and plan ahead.

"In medical technology, AI can streamline and improve prevention, diagnosis and treatment processes," says Kfir Kaper, co-founder and CEO of K2Ai, who brings to the company over 17 years' experience in the medical device industry, strategic partnerships and global healthcare leadership. "At the same time," he cautions, "we're seeing an inflation of AI companies today. It's essential to distinguish between research-based technologies and marketing hype. Only through smart, evidence-based implementation we can achieve meaningful change in the medical system."

According to K2Ai co-founder and VP of Business Development, Kobi Gelbgisser: "The medical AI
solutions currently available in Israel represent only the tip of the iceberg compared with the vast range of proven global technologies tackling today's most common diseases."

Gelbgisser has a strong background in the healthcare market in both medical technology and executive management. With many patients unable to wait for next-generation solutions, K2Ai's founding vision, he explains, is to distribute and integrate cutting-edge technologies worldwide.

The company is driven by two core objectives. One is to provide a holistic service model for every medical center, identifying relevant technologies, assessing institutional needs, implementing tailored solutions and offering long-term support. The other is to partner hospitals, physicians and research centers — and often pharma and medical device companies, as well — to co-develop research and deployment projects, creating a comprehensive 360° medical-technological framework.

A Multidisciplinary AI Ecosystem
The 'K2' of the company's name, K2Ai, comes from its founders, Kobi and Kfir, who were later joined by businessman Eyal Milrad. With the goal of bridging the gap between healthcare innovation and clinical practice by making AI both accessible and practical, the company's intelligent model identifies and integrates leading international medical AI providers — each offering a proven, domain-specific solution. Through this ecosystem, hospitals and medical centers in and outside Israel can adopt top-tier AI technologies easily, securely and efficiently.

Among many examples are Deepc, a platform which integrates multiple AI solutions for CT, MRI and X-ray imaging; Coreline, which specializes in chest CT for early detection of lung nodules, COPD, CAC and more; Cerebriu, which provides real-time, high-accuracy brain MRI analysis; Cortechs.ai, which automates MRI brain analysis to detect atrophy, early-stage Alzheimer's, dementia progression and tumors; Radiobotics, which identifies fractures and joint
dislocations in X-rays; Oxipit, which focuses on automatic chest X-ray interpretation; Lucida, which enables early detection of prostate cancer; and Milvue, which analyzes chest X-rays and fractures, including in newborns and premature infants.

"We work with companies that combine advanced technology and high-level human expertise," says Kaper. "We select only those with clinically proven results, verified research and collaborations with leading medical centers."

Today, such technologies can detect over 70 pathologies from a single chest X-ray. Tasks such as prostate imaging analysis, that once took hours, can now be completed in real time. A radiologist performing a 50-minute brain MRI can receive precise results within minutes instead of waiting weeks.

"Beyond saving time and resources, AI enables early detection, a cornerstone of preventive medicine," notes Gelbgisser. "In some countries, AI systems already flag imaging results by urgency — 'red' for critical, 'orange' for suspicious and 'green' for normal — helping medical teams prioritize cases. All this enhances the patient experience, encourages consistent health monitoring and transforms turnaround time from days to minutes, which can be life-changing."

What sets K2Ai apart?
"Focusing solely on AI-driven medical technologies, K2Ai's specialization lies in identifying opportunities to integrate medical AI solutions and in adapting global technologies to Israel's healthcare ecosystem," says Kaper.

"This is why we created our company: to bring deep expertise and create real impact," says Gelbgisser. "We each have over 15 years of experience behind us, so we know how to select and embed the best technologies into daily clinical practice."

Challenges and opportunities: is Israel's healthcare system ready to embrace such innovations?
"Healthcare is a complex matrix of interdependent systems, making implementation processes lengthy and intricate," notes Gelbgisser. "Yet most medical institutions show great openness to innovation and AI. We're fortunate to work with visionary partners, committed to keeping their centers at the forefront of medical technology."

A critical challenge is cybersecurity. "Data privacy is, of course, non-negotiable," says Kaper. "Every partner company we work with meets top global security standards, and through collaboration with Israeli firm SASA Software, we provide cyber protection for medical imaging files. As we've seen, one infected USB stick can cripple an entire hospital. Secure data transfer is essential."

Transforming Medicine's Future
Though still a young company, K2Ai is built on a rare blend of medical expertise, technological innovation and human insight, united by a dual mission: saving lives and representing Israel globally.

"We're very proud of Israel's healthcare system and its physicians," says Kaper. "They understand how crucial AI is in streamlining processes, making the technology a true growth engine for modern medicine."

Despite recent global challenges, K2Ai continues to collaborate with major global partners which recognize Israel's leadership in healthcare innovation. It has built a strong operational foundation and a skilled professional team ready to meet growing international demand.

The company's vision
"Our mission is to connect technological progress with real-world healthcare needs, spearheading the integration of the most innovative AI solutions in Israel and beyond," concludes Gelbgisser. "We envision a smarter, more precise and more human healthcare system, in which AI supports medical teams, accelerates diagnosis and saves both time and lives. We look ahead to a transformation that allows doctors to focus on what truly matters: their patients."

"To lead real change, to bring the most advanced technologies to Israel and to reshape the future of medicine, we must be active players rather than mere observers," stresses Kaper. "At K2Ai, we believe that combining innovation, clinical knowledge and human
leadership is the key to true transformation."
