Restoring Movement, Rebuilding Confidence
Salute Just Walk™ by Salute Rehab Ltd. is a gamechanger in the field of rehabilitative therapy. The wearable device, manufactured by Chaban Medical Ltd., redefines neuromotor recovery for individuals with neurological and orthopedic impairments—enabling them to learn to walk and regain independence
A new medical device is offering genuine hope to patients undergoing rehabilitation and their families. Salute Just Walk, an innovative wearable rehabilitation system, is set to transform the way people regain mobility—step by step. The unique system has been cleared by the FDA in the United States, and approved by the Israeli Ministry of Health.
Salute Just Walk is intended for people with a wide range of medical conditions, including stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, foot drop, and muscle weakness, as well as those with orthopedic conditions such as following hip and knee replacements. One of its key advantages lies in its versatility, enabling seamless integration into both clinical rehabilitation settings and independent use at home.
Weighing just 1.8 kg. (4 lb.), Salute Just Walk's fully mechanical, magnet-driven design provides an ultra-portable neuromotor rehabilitation solution. This ergonomic wearable device flawlessly integrates into the complete gait cycle, assisting with foot lift at step initiation and leveraging adjustable resistive forces (four levels) as the leg moves forward—a dual-action approach accelerating both neuroplasticity and muscle strengthening without excessive load-bearing.
The result is not merely technical improvement in walking ability, but a meaningful enhancement in quality of life—greater stability, lower risk of falls, improved step length and width, increased walking speed, and reduced fatigue. Together, these benefits enable patients to move with confidence, extend their walking distances, and re-engage in daily life. Beyond the technology, Just Walk delivers a powerful message: rehabilitation does not end in the clinic; it becomes part of life itself.
Holistic rehabilitation
What sets Salute Just Walk apart is its holistic approach to the rehabilitation process. Rather than focusing on isolated exercises, the system engages the entire gait cycle. It assists with foot lift and knee flexion at the initiation of movement and applies controlled resistance during the forward swing phase. This creates a unique triple effect: motor learning, enhanced proprioception and joint approximation, and targeted strengthening of the muscles essential for everyday function.
Knowing the goals of an individual's physical therapy is crucial to getting the most out of Salute Just Walk. Since walking is a whole-body exercise, involving both the lower body and the upper body, physical therapists choose exercises based on what type of strength most needs enhancement. Therapists are trained to understand the joints and muscles that are targeted by various modes of walking training using walking therapy equipment.
Based on this understanding, the therapist carefully chooses the best walk training that meets the specific therapeutic needs of each patient. Some patients respond best to assistance, whereas others respond best to resistance. This then determines where the rollers of the device need to be placed. If a patient needs assistance, then the therapist will connect the rollers from the internal part of the leg. If the goal is to improve gait length, then the rollers are connected to the back of the sandal. This provides resistance that is proportional to the movement velocity of the limb during treatment, which improves gait length once the device is removed.
Available in the U.S. and Israel
Chaban Medical Ltd., established in 2003, is part of the Chaban Group and a shareholder in Salute Rehab Ltd., and the manufacturer of the Salute Just Walk system. Chaban Medical complies with the highest regulatory standards, including ISO 13485:2016, ISO 9001:2015, and ISO 14001:2015. Earlier this year, the Salute Just Walk system marked a significant milestone with the launch of its commercial activities in the United States, serving both the private and federal markets. The Veterans Association of America is among the first to integrate Salute Just Walk into its rehabilitation protocol. This step represents a major advancement in making innovative rehabilitation solutions accessible to patients in need.
The system has also recently been introduced in Israel, entering the private market and moving toward a collaboration with the Israeli Ministry of Defense, aimed at providing advanced rehabilitation solutions for IDF soldiers injured during their service. This expansion reflects not only business growth, but also a deep commitment to improving patients' quality of life—both in Israel and worldwide.
