Long before the horrific events of October 7th, the Israeli company Inovytec Medical Solutions Ltd. earned accolades from military and civilian medical personnel worldwide because of its technologically advanced portable ventilators. Medical professionals highly value Inovytec's “Ventway Sparrow” ventilators not only for their compact size and lightweight design but also for their robust construction and high performance.

Weighing just one kilogram and small enough to fit in the palm of a hand, these devices stand out in the field of emergency medical care. The combination of portability, durability, and efficiency makes Inovytec’s ventilators particularly advantageous in urgent medical scenarios.

Optimizing EMS Response Through Intelligent Design
Transporting critically ill patients is a complex task where portable ventilators play a vital role in providing continuous life-saving treatment. EMS teams rely on these devices to maintain essential respiratory care and patient stability throughout the journey.

Inovytec’s groundbreaking Ventway Sparrow EMS ventilator is setting a new standard for these portable ventilators: Not only it is significantly lighter and more compact than its competitors, but it also excels in the most extreme environments. Equally crucial is its user-friendly design, which necessitates minimal training, making it an ideal choice for rapid deployment in diverse emergency situations.

Extensively Used in the Field
Magen David Adom (MDA), Israel’s national emergency relief organization, is one of Inovytec’s partners using the Ventway Sparrow daily. The organization purchased hundreds of ventilators – enough to equip all of its intensive care ambulances.

In routine times, Israeli EMS organizations respond to hundreds of emergencies every day. They treat injuries in the field and transfer the patients to the hospital as quickly as possible. October 7, 2023, however, is a day they will never forget. Throughout the day, Israel’s emergency medical services received hundreds of calls as their teams rushed to the scene – at great personal risk – and desperately tried to save the lives of as many people as possible. That day, Inovytec’s portable ventilators were put to use
again and again.

In addition to the model for EMS teams, Inovytec designed a military-grade version of the Ventway Sparrow for military use, with the Israel Defense Forces’ Medical Corps being one of its early adopters and purchasing more than 1000 units. Sadly, the current war has provided numerous opportunities to test the device’s robustness and effectiveness. The IDF’s medical units are equipped with the Ventway Sparrow, as are paramedics and physicians embedded with the troops on the ground and those tasked with evacuating injured soldiers by air or land.

“We are in daily contact with the IDF and EMS organizations to provide support and assistance for whatever requirements they may have. I am very proud of our ability to meet their needs and help save lives,” says Guye Halpern, Inovytec VP Products and Research.

Other defense forces, including the U.S. Army and several European armies, have also equipped their medical personnel with Inovytec’s ventilators.

Complementing the Ventway Sparrow is another Inovytec product, “Lubo”, an airway management device, which has been adopted by the IDF and first responders globally. This innovative device not only bolsters non-invasive ventilation efficiency but also functions as a cervical collar. Together, the Ventway and Lubo provide a cohesive solution for emergency care, enhancing the capabilities of medical teams in critical situations.

Made in Israel
Inovytec was founded in 2011 by three Israeli entrepreneurs determined to develop advanced medical devices that could save lives. During the Covid crisis, Inovytec became a major supplier of ventilators to the Israeli government. The company, which is based in Ra’anana, Israel, is proud of the fact that all its operations are in-house and are Israeli made – from the ideation and development processes to the actual manufacturing.

Inovytec's innovative products are meeting a critical demand: the popularity of its portable ventilators is soaring, with an increasing number of medical and paramedical professionals globally depending on these devices. This growth is a testament to Inovytec's success. These products are not only essential in times of war but also play a crucial role in routine medical care, demonstrating their versatility and necessity in a wide range of healthcare scenarios.
