A patient is on her way from Canada to Dr. Leslie Mrejen’s private dental clinic in the heart of Tel Aviv. “After searching abroad for the comprehensive and complex treatment she needs, she realized that my clinic in Israel is the right place for her,” says Dr. Mrejen. “This brings home to me that our full response is important and essential. Patients come to us from the USA, Canada and Europe because dental treatment in Israel is known for its high level, its professional competence and advanced equipment, as well as its competitive cost.”

Advanced technology and solutions from A-Z

Dr. Mrejen opened her clinic “to give my patients a comprehensive response to their dental issues,” she says. “Our equipment is the most modern and advanced. It includes a 3-D imaging device, intraoral cameras and digital X-ray photography. Every patient has my complete attention. My absolute priority is to identify the most appropriate solution and give the best treatment. I explain every step of the process to the patient, and create a professional and technologically advanced treatment program based on my knowledge and professional experience.”

Dr. Mrejen’s dental degree is from the University of Paris, followed by specialization in dental implantation and bone grafting at the University of Évry Val d’Essonne in Île-de-France and esthetic and adhesive dentistry at the University of Strasbourg.

“Surgical dentistry has undergone fascinating and far-reaching development in recent years, particularly in dental implants,” she says. “Today’s dental surgeries are minimally invasive, faster and enjoy higher rates of recovery and success. In the past six months, I’ve upgraded my training in bone grafting and composite bonding — the latter an innovative option for those seeking non-porcelain tooth coatings. My vision is to keep learning and developing, and thus continue giving my patients the very best dentistry.”

Calm and relaxed — even at the dentist’s

“The profession I’ve chosen doesn’t necessarily endear me to people,” smiles Dr. Mrejen. “Many have been traumatized by their dentists. So I feel good when patients tell me they’ve specifically chosen me because they know they’ll be in the best and most secure hands. It’s very important for me to hear that.”

Dr. Mrejen’s clinic radiates tranquility and ease. Its colors are carefully chosen, its location is central and accessible, and its warm welcome brings in passersby as well as those who know its reputation. With colleagues Drs. Shannon Lifshitz and Lisa London, the range of services that the clinic provides is extensive — among them, basic dental treatment, orthodontics, esthetics, dental implants, sinus augmentation, composite restorations, tooth coating and whitening and root canal — with care provided in Hebrew, English and French. “Part of my professional approach is to use dental esthetics techniques to restore the oral cavity and teeth, while maintaining existing teeth,” she says.

A popular destination for dental tourism

The clinic is popular with international patients seeking high-quality dental treatment at competitive prices. “Many patients from the USA, Canada and Europe have realized that traveling to Tel Aviv for dental treatment is more affordable than that same treatment at home,” she says. “Our relationship usually starts on the phone when I learn what the patient requires. Before deciding on a treatment course, I study the relevant images and coordinate expectations. Those requiring extensive dental care will stay in Israel for some time, while I treat and monitor them. I’m intensely aware that traveling to another country for treatment and remaining there for some time is not always easy, so I’m totally there for them throughout this prolonged stay. I dedicate to each patient the time that’s needed, ensuring that they go home dentally healthy and well cared for. At our clinic, the dental process is clear, personal and coordinated, and the professional and personal support is at the highest level.”
