Skai is a tech-oriented company whose offering – a platform for marketing intelligence, activation, and measurement – is at the forefront of its field and helps thousands of the most successful brands in the world reach customers on digital channels. Approximately $7 billion in advertising is managed on the Skai platform every year, driving hundreds of billions in commerce decisions and sales transactions. Informed by a proprietary data lake that connects thousands of first-party, second-party, and third-party sources, at any given time, the platform serves over 683K intelligent active campaigns for local and global advertisers, with over 20M clicks per day on average.

Clients include Macy’s, Instacart, P&G, Kimberly-Clark, Coca-Cola, LG, PlayStation, Toyota, HR Block, Capital One, HBO, Spotify, and many more. They rely on Skai’s platform to find, reach and convert audiences to customers, automate workflows, and obtain fast, transformative results from their marketing programs and eCommerce activity. While the technology is primarily self-serve SaaS, Skai’s expert customer success teams are closely involved and provide services as needed.

About SkaiSkai

The company was founded in 2006 and was named Kenshoo until last year, when it acquired a smaller start-up and, in line with its new mission to make marketing intelligent, rebranded to Skai. Today, Skai totals approximately 700 global employees, of which 350 are located in Israel and 200 in the U.S. – mainly working out of the San Francisco, Chicago, and New York offices. There are also offices in Brazil, London, Germany, and Asia. Since the company is growing rapidly, there is a steady demand for new employees, with 60 new tech and sales staff to be recruited in 2022.

Skai is proud of its core values, which promote integrity, innovation, diversity, and community service. In addition to its main office in Tel Aviv, the company opened several other sites in Israel in areas with scant high-tech representation, in order to provide opportunities for talent from remote locations.

Meet Gal Zohar

Gal Zohar, 39, has been working at Skai for 12 years – the first 6 years in Tel Aviv, then 4 years in San Francisco, and, since 2019, in New York. Today, Gal is Vice President of Solutions Development and is an integral part of the engineering management team.

“I joined Skai without a tech background, with a degree in Physics and East Asia Studies. I began in Tech Support and over the years I had many opportunities to grow my career within the company. Today I lead a development team that works directly with Fortune 500 companies, which tend to have complex infrastructures, specific objectives, and custom needs from their tech stacks. Being able to adapt Skai for these giants of industry is where my team is focused. Working with Skai’s largest clients is exciting and challenging; my team communicates directly with customers, sales teams, and developers, to find new and creative ways for Skai to empower them. We’re like a small, innovative startup within the company, performing many functions at once, to scope, plan, and code our solutions.

I live in downtown Brooklyn with my wife. Since Covid started, I have been working mainly from home and I go into the office in the Wall St. area about once every two weeks. These days, there are fewer people in the office on any given day, and we compensate with a lot of video interaction. I like working from home and cooking Middle Eastern-style meals for lunch. Before the pandemic, I used to travel a lot within the U.S. and I do miss it! I look forward to business travel resuming so I can spend more time face-to-face with my amazing colleagues.

Skai’s employees are diverse, coming from many different backgrounds, and the company attracts exceptional people. We regularly organize fun outdoor activities where we get to know each other better and bond, such as holiday parties, boat cruises, and trips to Six Flags. We also take part in group volunteer projects at least twice a year. Recently, we helped build houses for Habitat for Humanity and organized food collections for homeless shelters. Skai employees receive generous benefits, including all types of health insurance, 12 weeks of paid maternity leave, fitness and wellness coverage. The good part about working remotely is that I became close to colleagues all over the U.S. and around the world, and not just those who work with me in New York. One of the highlights for me is learning the work cultures outside my native Israel and seeing how people address work-life balance issues.”
