Virtual Real Estate Fair Is a Game-changer for Non-residents
Dozens of Israeli real estate developers are taking part in a virtual fair that uses BMBY's groundbreaking technology to enable prospective buyers to visit apartments and their neighborhoods from the comfort of their home

The unique real estate fair is taking place during a time when antisemitism is surging around the world, and Diaspora Jews are expressing interest in purchasing homes in Israel. During the event, visitors to the online fair will be able to take tours of apartments and receive complete information about each project and its neighborhood without having to actually travel to Israel in person.
The real estate fair is being organized by BMBY, an Israeli technology company which specializes in e-commerce. The fair, which will be open for an entire month, features over 22,000 apartments that are for sale in approximately 250 different projects throughout Israel. In addition, there will be a series of lectures on relevant topics, as well as special sales events. Israel's top real estate developers are taking part, including Tidhar, Carasso Real Estate, Rotshtein, Rotem Shani, Yuvalim, Acro Real Estate, Yesodot Eitanim, Izaki Group Investments, Bait Vegag, Ofeck Batan, Aviv Group, Oron Real Estate, Amram Avraham and many others.
Detailed information and actual views
Mark Zeevi, BMBY's founder and chairperson, explains that the fair will include an interactive map with comprehensive information about more than 250 new projects being built all over Israel. Using the DREAMS Virtual Reality platform developed by BMBY, visitors to the virtual fair can conduct tours of each apartment and the surrounding neighborhood. These virtual tours include detailed information about the community, such as nearby schools, cultural institutions, public transportation, parks, etc.
Thanks to the DREAMS platform, visitors to BMBY's fair can also "walk" through the buildings in each project, including the entrance area, lobby and elevators. Most importantly, there are virtual tours of model apartments, where one can truly imagine what it would be like to live there.
"One can see the actual view from the balcony as well as the different views from each window in the apartment," Zeevi points out. "During the fair, there will also be explanatory sessions for non-Israeli residents with information on issues related to the sales process, financing, investments, taxation and regulations in Israel. Furthermore, special benefits will be offered that include mortgage consultation, personal tax advice, 36-month interest-free payment plans for the purchase tax, and a package of upgrades. Fair attendees will be able to reserve an apartment and buy it after the end of the war."
Surge in global antisemitism
"I see a combination of several trends that are encouraging Jews from abroad to purchase apartments in Israel," says Zeevi. "First and foremost, the growth in antisemitism around the world will raise demand for apartments in Israel – for those planning to make Aliyah as well as those interested in owning an apartment in Israel as a safe refuge."
"In addition," he continues, "Jewish communities abroad and supporters of Israel are eager to help Israel during these difficult times. Supporting and encouraging Israel's construction industry, which is known as the engine driving the whole economy, by purchasing an apartment in Israel is a great way to show support. Each apartment that is purchased provides livelihood for around 1,000 families in Israel in the construction and auxiliary industries. As far as financial viability is concerned, the shekel has depreciated as a result of the war, which makes it especially attractive for foreign residents to purchase Israeli real estate during this time."
Zeevi is an entrepreneur with extensive experience developing e-commerce and Internet initiatives. He founded the BMBY software company in 2003, and in 2018 the company rolled out the DREAMS start-up. Today, BMBY has around 60 workers, half of whom are involved with R&D. The headquarters are in the northern Israeli town of Yokneam, with additional branches in Odessa and New York.
The innovative DREAMS platform developed by BMBY is likely to revolutionize the world of real estate. Just like no one thinks twice anymore about buying consumer goods online, BMBY predicts that in the future it will be normal to buy real estate virtually as well.
