The modern battlefield is defined not only by firepower but also by the speed of thought. In a world where decisions must be made in seconds and data streams continuously from hundreds of sensors and cameras, superiority belongs to those who interpret the situation faster and respond quickly and precisely. This is where Axon Vision steps in. It is driving a powerful revolution in military artificial intelligence.

Axon Vision products enable both manned and unmanned military platforms to detect all relevant targets in the surrounding battlefield, identify threats in real time and deliver actionable insights and decision-support recommendations – enabling operators to respond rapidly and accurately.

The Core Solution: Automating Combat Processes
Axon Vision was founded in 2017 by Ido Rozenberg, Raz Roditti and Michael Zolotov to unlock the vast potential that artificial intelligence can offer modern combat forces.

"AI bestows a significant advantage in recognizing battlefield targets," explains Ori Naor, Axon's VP of Business Development. "In a combat zone, everything is happening fast. You need a system that instantly identifies a threat or target and immediately recommends the appropriate response, while keeping the final decision with the human operator. We deliver this operational edge – a system that comprehensively identifies and classifies threats, enabling soldiers to act faster and with greater accuracy."

Axon's systems are based on optical sensors and advanced AI to detect suspicious movements, track multiple targets and generate a shared battlefield picture. This allows different platforms and units to instantly recognize when they are observing the same target, even from different perspectives. Computer vision helps identify concealed targets detected by other units. "The need for coordination and guidance is greatly reduced," says Naor. "This is a game changer. It dramatically enhances the efficiency of closing sensor-to-shooter loops."

Proven Operational Effectiveness
Axon Vision's systems are currently integrated into weapon stations, combat vehicles and unmanned aerial platforms, including munitions. One such system, EdgeSA (Situational Awareness), analyzes the environment in real time, providing comprehensive situational awareness for combat vehicles. Another, EdgeUAV, is designed for unmanned aerial platforms, and can provide inflight guidance for striking a target. In simple terms, rather than relying on the operator to interpret what the camera sees, the system filters, analyzes and alerts them to what truly matters.

"Our systems automate operational workflows that would otherwise require highly skilled operators," explains Naor. "It enables a single operator to efficiently manage multiple unmanned platforms. This is the future of the battlefield."
The technology is not just a promise for the future, he says. It is field proven.

The First Public Military AI Company
Axon Vision's cutting-edge technology also translates into commercial success. "Last August, we completed a successful IPO on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, raising tens of millions of shekels," says company CEO Roy Riftin. "The IPO is more than a financial milestone – it represents a strategic springboard for accelerating growth. The funds raised enable us to expand operations, strengthen R&D capabilities and rapidly enter additional international markets."

Since then, the company has achieved several notable successes. Among them are collaborations with leading companies in the US, Europe and Asia; significant orders for AI-based upgrade kits for Remote Controlled Weapon Stations (EdgeRCWS); and a first major acquisition order for the EdgeUAV system from a prominent supplier of precision-guided weapon systems. Axon Vision now has clients across Israel, Europe, the US and Asia, whose recent orders underscore the technological maturity and operational readiness of its solutions.

The Future of the Battlefield
"Our vision is simple," concludes Riftin. "In an era where artificial intelligence is transforming the battlefield, Axon Vision provides a decisive operational advantage to combat forces facing advanced threats and deploying innovative weapons intelligently. We're paving the way for automated and autonomous combat in the future battlefield."
