“Location, of course, is where the story begins,” says Yogev, “and this is an outstanding, I’d say unparalleled, location. The street is quiet, green and airy, and has the peace and privacy so greatly lacking from many of Tel Aviv’s densely built residential areas. At the same time, it’s in the very heart of the White City, with easy access to city center and sea, to boutique restaurants, fashionable bars and lively markets, to museums and galleries, sports, fitness and nonstop nightlife — and all this within a stone’s throw of Tel Aviv’s light rail and the future metro.”
The 10 homes being built at Breeze Tel Aviv, located in 38 Jonah the Prophet Street will do full justice to their unrivalled location, says Yogev. “Two to each story in a five-story building, these spacious three - and four rooms apartments — 90- to 120-square meters each, including the breeze, sun terraces of each one of them — are being built to the highest standards and specifications. The project is designed by Yaniv Pardo Architects, a 24-year-old Tel Aviv firm, which works in a wide variety of architectural disciplines and is acclaimed for its internal and external design of urban spaces. With the new residential building part of an overall renovation of this historic center of Tel Aviv and its Yemenite Quarter, its design harmonizes with the intimacy of the neighborhood and its lifestyle. Planning and design have been guided, on one hand, by defining the original components of the area’s international style, and on the other by understanding the new building as a unified entity, rather than a connection of facades. Its shell will be constructed of white silicate bricks and exposed architectural concrete, which, together with the apertures, will create a composition of present and absent modules.
