An Innovative Way to Deliver Knowledge

Knowledge transfer is a major challenge for organizations, large and small. This challenge increases in tandem with the degree to which the organization and its clients are decentralized. Despite the past decade's technological breakthroughs, employees continue to struggle with information technology. A recent University of Copenhagen study reported that a fifth of working hours are spent battling computer and software problems. And while more than four in five employees prefer acquiring information via video, creating software instructional videos remains complex, cumbersome and costly.

The solution is Guidde's generative artificial intelligence platform, which allows automatic creation of video for any software, complete with automated callouts and voiceovers, in seconds. The company was founded during the COVID pandemic by Yoav Einav and Dan Sahar to address some of the challenges brought forth by remote work. It has evolved from there to establish a communication medium that combines the power of video communication tools like Zoom and simple visual editors like Powerpoint. The platform lets anyone generate technical videos in seconds, for any software, without requiring prior video editing or design experience. Launched in November 2022, the platform is already used by over 30,000 people across 700 paying organizations including Redis, the open-source in-memory storage, SentinelOne the cybersecurity juggernaut, Payoneer, LiveNation Entertainment and Nuvei payments. The company has raised over $15 million to date from tier 1 investors such as Norwest Venture Partners and Entrée Capital, its most recent fundraising round completed in October 2023.

Professional results with minimal effort

"Producing a professional, high-quality, technical video can be very complex, especially for people without relevant experience," says Einav, Guidde's CEO. "The process often requires professional editors and, many times review and approval from several departments. Guidde is AI-based and can be managed independently by any user to automatically create a video in seconds that explains a product, service or system, complete with visuals and graphics, and integrated script, visuals and sound."

Guidde's platform also incorporates video hosting, allowing content be shared securely and privately, as well as embedding content directly into informational tools used by organizations such as SharePoint, Notion and Confluence.

Recruiting Boost

Since Guidde's last hiring round, its Israel and US staff has almost doubled. It's also putting its own platform to use. "We've produced short recruitment videos and are finding them very effective in communicating necessary information to both new employees and candidates within the company," says Einav. "With emphasis on the initial screening, they're helping us recruit quality employees, within context and in a personalized way."
