Logz.io: For Techies Who Are Looking for a High-energy Work Environment
The company’s cutting-edge platform empowers engineers to find and resolve production issues quickly and efficiently in a single, easy-to-use, and powerful tool. Lauren Quilty, an Account Manager at the Boston office: “I like the atmosphere – it’s fast-paced and there are new products all the time”

Logz.io was founded in 2014 by two engineers – Tomer Levy, who is currently the CEO, and Asaf Yigal, VP of Product. In just 7 years, the company has developed four products that are part of an open source-based cloud-native platform providing monitoring, troubleshooting, and security for DevOps teams and engineers. The company’s cutting-edge platform empowers engineers to find and resolve production issues quickly and efficiently in a single, easy-to-use and powerful tool that is purpose-built for monitoring distributed cloud environments.
Logz.io’s main markets are in the U.S., the EMEA region, and Israel. It is a growing company with dozens of job openings at any given time, especially for tech-oriented positions. Approximately 100 of the 250 employees work out of the Tel Aviv office, and around 75 are based in the U.S., of which 60 are in the Boston office and the others work remotely all over the country. The company also has around eight employees in the U.K. and 15 in its Kiev, Ukraine office. The majority of workers are involved in product development, with a sizeable go-to-market team in the U.S.
The two main offices, in Tel Aviv and Boston, have adopted a hybrid work format. Generally, people come into the office 2-3 times a week and work remotely the rest of the time, although they can choose to come in every day if they prefer. There is a great deal of synergy between the two branches; many native English speakers work in the Tel Aviv branch and English is the lingua franca at both sites.
Employees enjoy the fast-paced, high-energy work environment that prioritizes giving the best possible service to customers. Teamwork is ubiquitous – colleagues constantly help each other and work together to solve problems. Most of the employees are young, fun-loving techies who enjoy the atmosphere of togetherness and socializing at the weekly happy hours and various parties. The company is committed to diversity and is working to increase the share of women employees, which currently stands at 33%. Logz.io also advocates community involvement and frequently organizes volunteering activities in which the employees are happy to take part.
Meet Lauren Quilty
Lauren is an Account Manager at Logz.io’s Boston office and lives in Cambridge, MA. She has been with the company for two years.
“Before joining Logz.io, I worked for several other tech start-ups in sales positions. What drew me to the company was the stage of growth. It’s exciting: I have an opportunity to help build the company and to effect real change. I see things come to life that I pitched. I like working for start-ups and I really believe in Logz.io’s mission. In particular, I like the atmosphere – it is fast-paced and there are new products all the time.
These days, there are typically 15-20 people in the office on any given day. I like to go to the office because of the social atmosphere and also the great catered lunches. There are no structured work hours. Since I work with the Israel office a lot – for example with the legal and financial teams and for product trainings – I often have early morning calls. The Boston, Tel Aviv, UK and Ukraine offices are anyway in constant contact, so the transition to Zoom during Covid was quite easy. Ideally, I should be traveling more but I have still been able to meet customers at trade shows and other occasions despite the pandemic. We recently held our annual holiday office party, which was lots of fun. Employees who work remotely from all over the U.S. came to Boston and we all enjoyed an evening event at the legendary Fenway Park baseball field, including dinner and a tour.”
