Cecily Strong playing journalist and debate moderator Martha Raddatz opened "Saturday Night Live" over the weekend with, "Hello and welcome to the second and worst ever presidential debate."
Alec Baldwin returned yet again to play Donald Trump and Kate McKinnon returned as Hillary Clinton. The sketch poked fun at the debate between Trump and Clinton which took place earlier in the week and made international headlines as Trump stalked behind Clinton on the stage and brought four women to the debate who had accused Bill Clinton of sexual assualt in the past.
Baldwin's Trump kicked of the mock debate by insisting, "Martha, she is trying to silence these women but they need to be respected. They need their voices heard."
"What about all the women accusing you of sexual assault?" shot back Strong's Raddatz.
"They need to shut the hell up," he replied.
The debate ended with each candidate being asked to say something they like about the other.
McKinnon's Clinton had this to say, “Well, this one’s actually easy. Donald Trump and I disagree on just about everything. But I do like how generous he is. Just last Friday, he handed me this election.”
Trump tweeted his response to the skit early Sunday morning.
Watched Saturday Night Live hit job on me.Time to retire the boring and unfunny show. Alec Baldwin portrayal stinks. Media rigging election!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 16, 2016
