'Late Night' host Seth Meyers on Tuesday used his Closer Look segment to harshly criticize Donald Trump and network news for their response and coverage of the bombings in New York and New Jersey over the weekend.

For the second night in the row, after Monday's nights much lauded condemnation of Trump's claims that Hillary Clinton started the 'Birther' movement, Meyers went on the attack against Trump.
Meyers slammed CNN in particular for over blowing every little detail surrounding the New York city bombing, “That’s right, CNN thought a vehicle with lights at nighttime was breaking news ... Also, there’s a traffic light, and I don’t know if this is news, but it’s going from yellow to red, back to green.’”
The comedian went on the rip into Donad Trump for immediately relaying the news of the bombing at the beginning of a Colorado campaign stop: “You can’t say the words, ‘A bomb went off in New York,’ if the next thing you say is, ‘Nobody knows what’s going on. Are you a presidential candidate or the old lady who lives across the hall from me?”
Meyers went on to accuse Trump of 'exploiting' the bombings to continue his calls for 'draconian' policies like racial profiling and a ban on Muslims from entering the United States.
“Despite jumping out ahead early without any facts, fair is fair. Trump did get it right this time,” concluded Meyers.
