A viral photo of a Muslim woman appearing to nonchalantly walk past victims of the Westminster bridge terror attack on March 22, 2017 has been shared by an account removed by Twitter because it was a Russian government bot spreading pro-Brexit propaganda, Wired revealed

The account, called "@SouthLoneStar," had 16,826 followers and its bio claimed the user is a "Proud TEXAN and AMERICAN patriot."

The account was identified as a Russian government account as part of the U.S. Congress' investigation into the country's influence on the 2016 presidential election. Details of the account were uncovered by Wired through a cache of posts collected by U.S. security startup New Knowledge, which researches online extremism.

The account tweeted the image with the caption:"Muslim woman pays no mind to the terror attack, casually walks by a dying man while checking phone #PrayForLondon #Westminster #BanIslam." Later, so-called "alt-right" leader Richard Spencer also tweeted out the photo with the caption, "Walk on by..."

Both the photographer, Jamie Lorriman, and woman pictured have since claimed that the image was taken out context and that she was "horrified" at the scenes around her, according the Evening Standard.
