Over 1,300 antisemitic incidents were recorded in the United Kingdom over the first six months of 2021, making it "the highest total CST has ever recorded in the first half of any year,” the Community Security Trust, a watchdog group, announced on Thursday.

According to the group, which is the official security arm of the organized British Jewish community, there were 1,308 recorded incidents between January and June, a 49 percent increase over the same period last year which was “higher than every full-year incident total prior to 2016.”
