Outrage hits Egypt after images of Danish photographer having sex atop the Great Pyramid of Giza went viral on social media. Andreas Hvid climbed the tallest of the three Great Pyramids and posted both videos and photos of him having sex atop the world wonder.
Egypt's Ministry of Antiquities said on Saturday the incident "violates public morality" and has requested the Attorney General launch an investigation. Climbing on the pyramids is forbidden as is being at the sight after hours.
NBC News reported on Saturday that Hvid had deleted all but one post from social media, but noted that many reposts still exist online.
Hvid has not been arrested or fined, but in 2016 a German teen was arrested by Egyptian authorities for scaling one of the pyramids.
