“Normalization with Israel is painful and difficult, but the national interest is more important,” Moroccan Prime Minister Saed-Eddine El Othmani said in a television interview on August 8, three days before Israel's Foreign Minister Yair Lapid landed in the Moroccan capital of Rabat. Othmani stressed, though, that he didn’t intend to meet with Lapid personally.
