KYIV – Parents carrying their children in their arms. Wounded people swaying dangerously back and forth in wheelbarrows and on makeshift stretchers. Soldiers supporting the elderly and the infirm. Families with dogs, cats and even birds and guinea pigs in cages. No one is left behind.
