Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met with U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday. The meeting - their first - is part of a three-day visit by Abbas to Washington amid uncertainty of Trump's stance regarding the Palestinians.
Speaking in the White House, Trump said that he looked forward to having Abbas return to the White House to sign a peace agreement with the Israelis."We will get it done. There's a very very good chance," Trump said.
Though widely considered 'pro-Israel,' Trump has shied away from endorsing any concrete policy on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, stating that he would accept whatever deal the two sides could agree upon.
