Viral Video Shows Roy Moore Praising Vladimir Putin and Speaking Russian
Republican Senate candidate gave an interview to the Guardian in August in which he condemns same-sex marriage as evil, finding common ground with Putin

An August interview Roy Moore gave to the Guardian has gone viral days ahead of the controversial Alabama Senate race which has seen allegations of bigotry and sexual assault levied at the former judge and now Republican Senate candidate.
In the interview Moore praises Russian President Vladimir Putin and even speaks a little Russian, which he claims he studied at West Point. The video sparked conspiracy theories online and its veracity has even been attested to by fact checking websites.

Q: [Ronald Reagan] said that Russia was a focus of evil in the world.
MOORE: You could say that very well about America, couldn’t you.
Q: You think?
MOORE: Well, we promote a lot of bad things, you know.
Q: Like?
MOORE: Same-sex marriage.
Q: That’s the very argument Vladimir Putin makes.
MOORE: Well, then maybe Putin is right. Maybe he’s more akin to me than I know.
