U.S. President Donald Trump suspects Chief Strategist of being behind leaks from the White House, placing his job in jeopardy, according to a report by .

West Wing staff believe Bannon leaked information about National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster and that the former's job could be in danger, White House sources told the news website.

Trump is said to be "irritated" with Bannon following a series of . In the past, Trump has expressed his intention to end the high volume of leaks escaping the White House. Newly hired Chief of Staff John Kelly is expected to help on such leaks.

On Friday, Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced a crackdown on leakers government-wide on Friday, including a Justice Department review of subpoena policies for media outlets that publish sensitive information.
