Seth Meyers Hears Jared Kushner's Voice for the First Time
The high-pitched utterances from President Trump's son-in law were such a surprise that they became fodder for a routine on NBC's 'Late Night with Seth Meyers'

The accepted wisdom has been that President Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner is a real powerhouse at the White House, but his presence lurked in the background until he spoke to a technology summit in Washington on Monday. In fact until then, it is safe to say that few Americans had ever heard Kushner's voice, which wasn't what many would have expected.

The mismatch between the power and influence of this 36-year-old boyish-looking senior adviser to the president and his high-pitched youthful voice was grist for comedy from Seth Meyers on Monday on Meyer's NBC "Late Night" show (from minute 4:23 in the video clip below). Speaking about Kushner, who is married to Trump's daughter Ivanka, Meyers asked: "That's the mastermind who tried to set up a back channel with Russia?" Meyers added: "His title says senior adviser to the president, but his voice says senior at Claremont High School."
