During a campaign rally in Iowa, Senator Bernie Sanders on Tuesday said that 'we have a president who every day we turn on the television and people all over America say 'I can't believe that guy just said that'.
"What I think is that increasingly, people all over this country whether you're conservative, progressive, moderate, whatever you may be, understand that we have to have a president that who when we turn on the TV and the kids are watching is not somebody who embarasses our country, not someone who is pathological liar," Sanders said to people in Arnold Park, Iowa.
Senator Sanders, an independent from Vermont, is currently trailing Joe Biden and Senator Elizabeth Warren in the polls.
At the moment, Biden stands in a class by himself at around 30% support, with a second tier comprised of U.S. Senators Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren holding at half that figure. Another handful of candidates, including U.S. Senator Kamala Harris and South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, make up the next group.
