U.S. Vice President Mike Pence on Friday mistook the Nicaraguan flag for the Israeli one in tweets meant to express support for Israel and the Jewish people.

- Fox News' Israel bureau chief: It's 'insulting' Trump didn't tag us as enemy of the people
Pence included the wrong flag emoji in two tweets before addressing the Republican Jewish Coalition.
"Our support for the Jewish people doesn't end at our nation's border. Under @POTUS, the world will know America stands with Israel #RJC," one tweet said.
"WATCH LIVE my remarks to Republican Jewish Coalition. Under @POTUS Trump, we will stand with Israel," the second tweet said.
Both tweets were quickly deleted and replaced with emoji-free remarks.
