Former congresswoman and 2012 Republican presidential contender Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) claimed recently that U.S. President Barack Obama and his administration intervened in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's successful bid for reelection and that that U.S. State Department has been promoting an "evil gay" agenda on foreign countries.

In an interview with Family Research Council President Tony Perkins on his “Washington Watch” radio show, Bachmann said, "I was in Israel two weeks ago and I can tell you Jewish people are so thrilled Donald Trump is going to be the next president."

Bachmann continued: "For those of us who believe in the biblical admonishment in Genesis, that those who bless Israel are blessed and those who curse Israel are cursed. We recognize that the United States, as a country has been in position of cursing Israel and we know that that redounds for negative consequences for our country."

“We’ve seen such evil come out of our State Department, unfortunately, where financial incentives are withheld from countries unless they advance, for instance, the gay agenda,” Bachmann insisted.
