MSNBC host Rachel Maddow cried live on air Tuesday while covering the migrant child separation controversy that is rocking American politics.
Maddow was reading the opening lines from a widely read Associated Press report detailing three “tender age” facilities where children under the age of 13 are being sent after being separated from their parents at the border.
News that the Trump administration is operating specific shelters for migrant babies and toddlers has added fuel to the already highly emotional controversy.
“I think I’m going to have to hand this off, sorry,” the MSNBC host said while fighting back tears.
