U.S. President Donald Trump's sharing of classified information with senior Russian officials has put in danger the life of a spy installed by Israel within ISIS, according to an ABC report on Tuesday.

The report included very little details regarding the sensitive issue, but it was the harshest headline published as of yet regarding the possible consequences of in the Oval Office last week.

The explosive claim in the report was attributed to former and current U.S. officials, not to sources in Israel. The spy, according to these officials, was responsible for the intelligence which caused the United States to enact a "laptop ban" on flights from different locations in the Middle East.

According to the report, "the sensitive intelligence was shared with the United States, officials say, on the condition that the source remain confidential."

Israel has not confirmed, as of Tuesday night, that the information shared by Trump with the Russians indeed came from its intelligence services. The White House also refused to say explicitly that Israel was the source of the information, although Press Secretary Sean Spicer referred reporters to a statement by Israeli ambassador to Washington, Ron Dermer, who praised Israel's intelligence cooperation with the United States and said it would continue.

Trump's National Security Adviser, General H.R. McMaster, said on Tuesday that the president was not aware where the information came from when he shared it with the Russians.
