NBC News reported on air early Tuesday morning that Hope Hicks, Donald Trump's longtime media aid and adviser will be named White House communications director – the third person to hold that title since Trump took office January 20.
Hicks was Trump’s director of strategic communications before being appointed as interim White House communications director after the highly publicized firing of Anthony Scaramucci.
Hicks, a 28-year-old native of Greenwich, Connecticut, is a close ally of Ivanka Trump and is believed to be a person of interest in special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation of Trump's potential ties to Russia.
