Ivanka Trump will receive an unwelcome surprise on her Instagram feed when she opens it today. A number of high profile celebrities, all of whom Trump follows, have taken to Instagram to pressure her to act on her father's, U.S. President Donald Trump's, child separation policy.
Comedian Amy Schumer and model Alexa Chung were among those who posted on Instagram.
Paola Mendoza, who is not followed by Trump on Twitter, but is the cofounder of the movement, told Bustle that Trump was "complicit" in the abuses and that they would "not stop shining the light of truth on her no matter how much she wants to hide from it"
The last time that celebrities came together on Instagram to put pressure on Trump was at Thanksgiving when they started a campaign to pressure her to use her influence to support the DREAM Act that would protect young illegal immigrants. However, the bill was not passed by Republicans in Congress or the Senate.
