Canada’s first female prime minister sparked controversy over the weekend a she became the second prominent female leader to publicly call U.S. President Donald Trump a “motherf**ker.”
Kim Campbell, who was Canada’s head of government for a few months in 1993, tweeted of Trump, “He really IS a motherf**ker.” The now deleted tweet echoed the language used by Michigan Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib during a MoveOn event in Washington, D.C.
Campbell has previously called Trump a “sexual predator” after the publication of his notorious "grab 'em by the pussy" video.
Campbell followed up on Twitter with a second tweet saying, "if you don't get the reference to the comment by Congresswoman Taib [sic] - can't help you," adding that her views are much tamer compared to former Mexican president Vicente Fox Quesada.
Correction: This article previously incorrectly stated that Campbell was PM from 1993-1997, it has been update to reflect her correct term in office, which was from from June 25, 1993 to November 4, 1993.
