Facebook Fighting Holocaust Denial Is an Amoral but Politically Convenient Farce
It’s no coincidence that Mark Zuckerberg has cynically 'discovered' Facebook’s social responsibility right now, three weeks before the U.S. presidential election
The reactions to Facebook’s announcement on Monday that from now it would remove content that "denies or distorts the Holocaust" from its social media platform elicited two types of response. There were the gushing messages of congratulations and gratitude, and the more cynical reactions of "what took you so long?" Both are wrong.
