GOP Congressman Quotes 'Mein Kampf' on House Floor to Slam Democrats and the Media on Trump-Russia
Alabama Rep. Mo Brooks calls Hitler 'another socialist' and claims that Democrats and the media pushed the 'big lie' of Russian collusion
Republican Rep. Mo Brooks read from Adolf Hitler’s “Mein Kampf” on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives on Monday. In his floor speech, the Alabama congressman called Hitler “another socialist” and claimed that Democrats and the media had pushed the “big lie” of Russian collusion.
Brooks read from a section in Hitler’s magnum opus about the so-called “big lie” — a term Hitler coined to describe how Jews used their “unqualified capacity for falsehood” to blame a top German for the country’s losses in World War I and ongoing economic suffering.
Brooks claimed, “For more than two years, socialist Democrats and their fake news media allies CNN, MSNBC, The New York Times, Washington Post and countless others have perpetrated the biggest political lie, con, scam and fraud in American history.
“In that vein, I quote from another socialist who mastered ‘big lie’ propaganda to a maximum, and deadly, effect,” Brooks said before reading from “Mein Kampf.”

“Quote: ‘In the big lie, there is always a certain force of credibility because the broad masses of a nation are always more easily corrupted in the deeper strata of their emotional nature ... and thus in the primitive simplicity of their minds they more readily fall victims to the big lie than the small lie,’” Brooks read.
“It would never come into their heads to fabricate colossal untruths, and they would not believe that others could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously.”

Brooks stopped just before Hitler wrote that German philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer “called the Jew the ‘Great Master of Lies.’”
