Joshua Green, a journalist and the author of "Devil’s Bargain," a tell-all about Steve Bannon's time as Donald Trump's campaign manager was on CNN's "State of the Union" Sunday discussing his experience watching the Golden Globes with Bannon.

The Golden Globes, which featured actresses and actors embracing the #MeToo movement both in dress and with pins, elicited some interesting reactions from Bannon, according to Green.

"It’s a Cromwell moment!” Bannon shouted claims Green.

“It’s even more powerful than populism. It’s deeper. It’s primal. It’s elemental. The long black dresses and all that - this is the Puritans! It’s anti-patriarchy.”

Bannon continued: “I think it's going to unfold like the Tea Party, only bigger. It's not Me Too. It's not just sexual harassment. It's an anti-patriarchy movement. Time's up on 10,000 years of recorded history. This is coming. This is real.”

“You watch. The time has come. Women are going to take charge of society. And they could not juxtapose a better villain than Trump. He is the patriarch. This is a definitional moment in the culture. It’ll never be the same going forward.”
