Bill Maher Tears Into Ivanka Trump: 'The Biggest Disappointment So Far'
The political satirist went on to slam Trump for the pardon of Sheriff Joe Arpaio and for constantly breaking the rules of the presidency
HBO's often controversial political satirist, Bill Maher, tore into Ivanka Trump on the latest episode of his show "Real Time."
“Ivanka Trump: greatest disappointment so far,” said Maher Friday night. “I mean, really, Ivanka? You couldn’t even stop the transgender in the military thing? I thought this was your area. She has no sway over daddy," he joked.
Maher, later in the episode went after Trump himself for constantly breaking the unwritten rules of American politics.
- The Worst (And Best) Places to Be Gay in America
- Jews Have No Special Obligation to Oppose Trump
- An Underground Movement of Haredi anti-Trumpers Get Organized
Maher joked that the American people are “just the latest suckers” to learn you have write down every rule, and that Trump reminded him “that some people will break every rule that’s not specifically enumerated."
“When you hire a babysitter, you write down a list of rules, ‘no boyfriend visits, no loud music, stay out of my greenhouse,’” Maher said. “But no one thinks you have to write down ‘don’t put the baby in the microwave.’ Well with Trump you do.”
