WASHINGTON – In the days since Tom Nides was reported as the front-runner to become the next U.S. ambassador to Israel, a groundswell of support has emerged for Robert Wexler, the former Democratic congressman from Florida who has spent the past 11 years running the S. Daniel Abraham Center for Middle East Peace.
