Israeli leaders mourned the loss of former Senate majority leader Harry Reid Tuesday. Foreign Minister Yair Lapid called Reid “a true friend of Israel who made a significant contribution to strengthening the relationship between our two countries.” Prime Minister Naftali Bennett later put out his own statement, calling Reid “a fearless leader and a true American patriot,” and praising “His deep commitment to the State of Israel and the Jewish people.”
