The charming artists’ village of Ein Hod is situated at the foot of Mount Carmel, just a few kilometers south of Haifa. Even if you’re not interested in art, it's worth visiting for the rustic atmosphere. Quaint stone houses, narrow pathways and olive groves create the perfect atmosphere for romance or relaxation. Plus there are picturesque views of the Mediterranean Sea and the ancient crusader outpost of Atlit.

That being said, art lovers will relish the opportunity to check out galleries, sign up for workshops and chat with local artists in their studios. If you’re looking for a special gift or distinctive memento from your trip, you can purchase an original piece to take home with you.

You can also explore one of the country’s largest collections of Israeli art at the Ein Hod Central Gallery, and arrange to take a guided tour of the village (by prior appointment).
