Israel Airport Authority workers at the Ben Gurion Airport went on a surprise strike Sunday afternoon, causing delays in outgoing flights.

The strike was called off at 7:30 P.M. due to 'understandings being reached' and full activity was restored to the airport.

The workers were protesting a plan to increase the amount of royalties to be transferred by the IAA to the state.

The Histadrut announced a labor dispute at the airport last month, due to the disagreement over royalties, which the Finance Ministry is demanding be raised to half a billion shekels.
