Sarah Silverman will star in an HBO pilot about a "pathologically honest woman having a modern mid-life crisis," Variety reports

Silverman got the news that show got the green light while visiting Israel, where her sister resides.

The script for the sitcom is being developed by Lucy Prebble, a playwright whose film credits include “Enron” the “The Effect.” Silverman will be among the show's executive producers.

On Thursday night, the comedienne visited the Western Wall to participate in a Hannukah candle-lighting ceremony organized by Women of the Wall. Silverman's sister, Rabbi Susan Silverman, is a member of the multi-denominational prayer group that holds a monthly prayer services at the Jerusalem holy site.

The ceremony was held despite the fact that earlier this week, the Western Wall rabbi rejected the group's request to allow women to hold their own public Hanukkah candle-lighting ceremony at the site.

“I went to the Kotel with Women of the Wall today and we lit candles and sang Hanukkah songs. I can’t believe that’s a big deal,” said Silverman, before directing a profanity or two at those seeking to block the group's efforts, according to Jewish Business News.
