I visited the Haifa District Court on Wednesday for a hearing in the case of the four people who fired marine flares into the sky in Caesarea. I went spontaneously after I received a short video on WhatsApp early in the morning showing them being put into a police van in the Russian Compound complex parking lot in Jerusalem. The four men have been in remand since it was decided to charge them with an act of terrorism, and their conditions were compared with those of security detainees. I left the hearing in shock and greater political anxiety than ever.
