As the war in Gaza continues to unfold in the wake of the Hamas atrocities of October 7, the world has seen the images of Gazan civilians fleeing south, heeding the call of the Israeli army to remove themselves from the path of Israel’s attack on the terror organization. This exodus has greatly reduced civilian casualties of Israel’s fight against the Hamas operatives and military infrastructure, embedded within and underneath the city. At the same time, it has amounted to the displacement of over a million people.
