It’s been amusing, if not absurd, to watch conservative politicians and pundits, who two summers ago proclaimed they “backed the Blue” during the Black Lives Matter uprising, to embrace the idea that the Federal Bureau of Investigation should be defunded to pay for the “crime” of searching former President Donald Trump’s home for classified material.
