Settler Anat Cohen was ordered last week by the Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court to pay 7,000 shekels ($2,144) to a resident of Hebron, Issa Amro, because she had slapped him as he and other activists accompanied Palestinian children to a local school. The court handed down its ruling last week in a civil suit filed by Amro, while rejecting a countersuit filed by Cohen, who is head of the education department for Hebron’s Jewish community, according to her testimony.
