Three Killed in Road Accidents Across the Country

One person killed on West Bank highway, another crushed to death by his own truck, a third succumbs to injuries.

Three people were killed in separate traffic accidents across the country on Wednesday.

One person was killed and another seriously injured Wednesday afternoon in an accident on the highway between the West Bank settlements Immanuel and Yakir.

On Wednesday evening, Kafr Salaam resident Yousef Refaya, 26, succumbed to injuries incurred earlier in the day in an accident near the Megiddo Junction.

Earlier Wednesday, Asher Ben Atar, 42, was crushed to death by his own truck near the Safed municipal marketplace.

Ben Atar had been standing behind his truck when it suddenly rolled backwards and crushed him.

On Wednesday afternoon, a 50-year-old driver was seriously injured when his car smashed into a truck on Highway 759 near Nazareth. He was evacuated to the Rambam Hospital in Haifa by helicopter. The truck driver was lightly injured and taken to a hospital in Nazareth.
