Students Vote Technion Best Higher Education Institution in Israel

Poll asks 8,600 students about campus life, teaching, reading assignments.

Students voted the Technion Israel Institute for Technology, Hebrew University and Tel Aviv University as their most esteemed higher education establishments in Israel, according to a poll conducted by Above-Average private market research company Tuesday.

Some 8,600 poll respondents from 35 universities and colleges were asked about the level of teaching, reading assignments, campus life, the faculty and administrative service quality. Higher Education Board data, academic publications and other criterion were also taken into account, according to Above-Average.

Ben Gurion University of Negev was ranked fourth and the Inter Disciplinary Center in Hertzliyah fifth. Tel Hai Academic College jumped to sixth place after it ranked 15th in last year's poll.

Above Average's is "focused on studying the Israeli academic system" and ranking higher education establishments in Israel, according to its Website.
