Man Suspected of Stabbing Father to Death in Tel Aviv

Police suspect 41-year-old man after body of his father, 68, found in Tel Aviv apartment bearing stab wounds.

Police suspect a 41-year-old man is behind the murder of his father, 68, whose body was found Wednesday morning in a south Tel Aviv apartment bearing stab wounds.

The victim's wife was also lightly wounded during incident, apparently while trying to defend him.

Police arrived at the apartment after one of the victim's neighbors reported the stabbing incident. A Magen David Adom team attempted to resuscitate the man, before confirming his death after he was critically wounded as a result of the stabbing.

The victim's son was found at the apartment, and an initial investigation found that he had been admitted in the past to a mental hospital.

The family moved to Israel from Russia several years ago.

On late Sunday police discovered the body of a woman wrapped in a blanket in Tel Aviv and arrested her 23-year-old son and husband in connection with her death.

The woman, identified as Margarita Karilov, 58, was found on Leonardo da Vinci Street. Israel Radio reported that the three are homeless, according to police.
