Rebecca Steinfeld

Dr. Rebecca Steinfeld is a political scientist researching the politics of reproduction and the body. Born in London, she has a PhD in Politics from the University of Oxford, and is writing her first book, "Wars of the Wombs: Struggles over Reproduction in Israel" (Stanford University Press, forthcoming). As an undergraduate, she was president of the Jewish Society at the University of Edinburgh, and has taught courses on Middle Eastern politics and Israeli history at the Universities of Birmingham, Oxford and Stanford. She was briefly an Under-35 Observer to the Board of Deputies of British Jews, and has presented her research at Limmud U.K. When not working, she is to be found in the park with her family's French Bulldog puppies, Frank and Lola, or watching American and Israeli TV series.
