Some Syrians Are Hoping the Ukraine War Never Ends

With their country in dire straits, a whole industry has sprung up to recruit Syrians to fight the war in Ukraine. This is not the first time Syrians have fought for Russia, and there are plenty of other precedents to emulate

Some people are profiting from the war between Russia and Ukraine, and not only weapons manufacturers or oil-producing countries. Although there's been not yet been an estimate as to how much these entities have raked up, Russia's Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu was able to provide a figure for some unlikely beneficiaries of the war: Syrian "volunteers" who already have new jobs courtesy of the tragedy.
