17-year-old Palestinian Shot Dead by Israeli Forces in Clashes Near Ramallah

Palestinian Health Ministry says the teen was seriously wounded by Israeli fire in the West Bank village of Deir Nizam, and later succumbed to his wounds at a Ramallah hospital

A 17-year-old Palestinian was shot dead by Israeli forces on Wednesday in the West Bank village of Deir Nizam near Ramallah, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.

According to the Palestinians, Musaab Atamimi was seriously wounded and later succumbed to his wounds at a hospital in Ramallah. According to Israeli forces, he was armed during the disturbance and was shot and wounded in his lower body.

On Friday, nearly 4,000 Palestinians clashed with Israeli security forces in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. The Palestinian Health Ministry announced that a young man had been killed in the clashes, while four others were said to be seriously wounded.

A rocket fired from the Gaza Strip toward communities near the Gaza border exploded in an open area earlier Wednesday, the Israeli army said. No injuries or damage from the explosion were reported and no siren was sounded
