The clashes that erupted in Gaza took place near the Gaza-Israel border fence and near the sea. A number of Palestinian boats leaving the Gaza port began to move into Israeli territory. Navy ships stopped them and a confrontation ensued. Israel Defense Forces soldiers fired at demonstrators and dispersed them using riot control measures, according to the military. At the same time, the IDF reported that some 4,000 demonstrators in several locations along the fence clashed with soldiers. During the demonstrations, snipers fired live ammunition at the demonstrators. The Gaza Health Ministry reported that those wounded were evacuated to hospitals in Gaza.

The clashes in the Ramallah area began after the funeral of Mohammad Zaghloul Arimawi from the West Bank village of Beit Rima, who died last week shortly after his arrest. Arimawi's body was transferred to his family Monday morning after an autopsy. His family and the Palestinian prisoner's club reject the Israeli claim that Arimawi was not beaten and claim that he died as a result of beatings during the arrest.

On Sunday, clashes broke out between Israeli military forces and dozens of young Palestinians in the West Bank city of Ramallah, according to eyewitnesses and Palestinian media.

According to the reports, six Palestinians were wounded by Israeli military fire and two more were injured as a result of tear gas inhalation. Israeli troops circled a pharmacy in a residential neighborhood, reports said, and detained three Palestinians.

In Gaza on Friday, seven Palestinians, including a 12-year-old boy and a 14-year-old one, were killed by IDF fire.

A total of 506 Palestinians were injured in the clashes Friday, according to the Gaza Health Ministry, some 90 of whom by Israeli fire. Of those wounded, 210 were evacuated to hospitals.
